It’s not often that I feel the need to speak up and praise an online merchant for their products and ease of use let alone their customer service. Generally speaking online merchants seem to be distant and cold, seemingly disconnected from their customer base. Once the item is purchased and paid for the end of the transaction becomes the end of the relationship. Well folks, let me just take a moment to introduce you to COMBATHUNTING.COM
First let me say that this is not an article that is being paid for and I am in no way receiving any preferential treatment or extra goodies for writing and posting it. As a matter of fact, this article will come as a surprise to the folks at combathunting.com because they don’t know I am writing it.
A few months ago I purchased a new Winchester SXP Defender and stuck it in the gun cabinet. I liked the look and feel of the shotty, but I wanted a more tactical feel. Mostly I wanted to get an ATI pistol grip and collapsible stock and install it myself, but I also had a few other things to purchase first. Anyway, a couple of weeks ago I decided to pull the trigger on the ATI purchase and went online looking at prices. Combathunting.com kept coming up in my search results and their selection and pricing was right where I needed it to be, so I purchased THIS KIT from them.
Now, just so you all know I am a VERY impatient customer. When I make an online purchase I EXPECT an email almost immediately showing that the purchase was made and if I don’t receive it I contact the vendor within 24 hours. Heck, it’s an automated process, so not getting anything makes me concerned about the vendor’s backend machinery. Anyway, within a few minutes I had the email showing my purchase, EXACTLY what was purchased including full breakdown of the kit, and a link for their customer service. I was happy.
The next day however, I received another email from Combathunting.com stating that the kit I had ordered was currently on back order. Are you freaking kidding me?!? Another sale gone bad? But wait, there was more to this email than I had originally noticed. Along with the standard “Your item is on back order” and a canned apology, there was also an offer for an immediate and complete refund if I didn’t wish to wait. Really? An offer of a refund without me having to demand one?!?! Interesting!
I replied to the email asking about the availability of other similar kits and received an email reply within 30 minutes with the answer to my questions. I was amazed! Here is a company that is putting their customer first! I must have sent an additional 15 emails to the company over the course of the next week and EVERY email has been answered. I received the kit I ordered (there was NO WAY I was going to ask for a refund from a company this willing to make me happy) within 10 business days which is more than acceptable for me. I have already installed the pistol grip and stock and it looks and feels awesome!
I am having a bit of difficulty with the forend. It seems no one makes a tool for the socket on the SXP forend so I may have to make one, but Combathunting.com has been working very hard to assist me in this matter as well!!
In all the message I would like to convey is this:
PLEASE visit Combathunting.com and review their product lines. If you have a need for something they carry PLEASE take my advice and order from them! You will be MORE than happy with their customer service and desire to make their customers 100% happy!
Again, this is NOT a paid article or advertisement. This is my advice to you as a potential customer and my thanks to them for go above and beyond to ensure that my customer experience was nothing short of fantastic!
