  1. How about No. No I will not give up my guns, no I wont accept it and I still don’t accept seat belt laws as the governemtn is not the nanny state and hs no business telling me what safety devices to wear.

    No no no and no..

“People fought laws about the right to vote for women, and blacks. People claimed it would ruin our society and destroy our country.”

It has destroyed our country, just look around

      • there is no evidence that a CCW hoedlr could have prevented such an act because EVERY mass shooting happens in a place that a lawful citizen cannot legally carry their gun… and if you think that a mall guard that makes $8 a hour is going to charge head long into a shooting, you are really smoking some good stuff…the only chance to stop a situation like that comes from one of the victims taking a stand. and if those victims are unarmed against a person with a rifle, they cannot make much of a stand.

    • nebraska bloggrass I am not agrniug for a lot of security guards. You can do the math, but when you have a public place only a very small percentage of people have to have permit to have the place covered. Let me help you out though, if 3 percent of people have permitted concealed handguns, on average one out of every 33 people will be able to be their to protect themselves and others.

  3. We are free in america to do what? You can’t own private property… nope its taxed forever…you can own a car but you can’t move it from your property without paying a tax…you can’t earn money or spend it with out paying tax…you now can’t choose your own doctor and you will buy what they say or you will pay a tax..businesses can’t hire people they want the government is up their collective asses about blacks and women… you are told what to do and when to do it..you keep your head in the sand…but I am keeping my eyes wide open…they have gone to far already…the time to fight is near!

    • Ron,

Once again you are arguing against an article on gun confiscation and the 2nd Amendment with complaint about paying taxes and the unfairness of Affirmative Action laws. You are setting a clear example of someone that doesn’t have a valid argument, but must argue nonetheless.

If you would like to argue about taxes I can certainly entertain that line of thought, but this is the wrong article to proceed into that discussion. Affirmative Action? Sure, we can have that talk too but again, it really has nothing to do with this article.

I am not told what to do, and I feel that I am free to do as I please in this country. I can assure you that my head is not in the sand and I am quite aware of the happenings in this country, good and bad. I thank you for your comment and disagree with it wholeheartedly.

      • Is the gun being used/held in a responsible mennar? Is the safety on? Are you making it into something wicked awesome in your book? Is the cop using it to blow someone’s head off?If you say yes to the first two and no to the last two, I think you’re fine.

    • My cursury take is that the guy who runs The Truth About Guns has prblbaoy put his foot in it.Heh.The guy who runs TTAG also founded the TTAC The Truth About Cars. When he was running TTAC, the language was rather coarse, He described the front of the Subaru Tribeca as resembling a woman’s sexual part, and started an award, The Worst Autos Today, with an unfortunate acronym. If he put his foot in it , he prblbaoy did it on purpose. Ironically, since he sold off TTAC, the new owners have installed such stringent monitoring software that commenters can’t even quote General Patton accurately.

  4. I agree that many of things are way overstated. DHS is not the private police that this administration said they wanted. They don’t really look more like military. Only Ny,NJ, CO, IL and other states have violated the 2A. The POTUS would never break the law or sidestep the constitution. I also agree with the other poster – please use protection 🙂
